Summer at Estes Park LT
Estes Park Leadership Training is an eleven week summer discipleship program for Christians. Taking place on the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park LT is a place to get to know Jesus deeper, learn to live like Jesus, and make Jesus known to others. It’s a summer of growth that you won’t forget.
For this program, we gather excited college students from across Collegiate at the YMCA of the Rockies Estes Park Center. The program will include large group gatherings with equipping, smaller times of practicing the things we’ve been learning, and space for you to grow in personal devotion to God. Your summer will be anchored in a groups of 10-14, a family on a mission for the summer. Collegiate Staff from all over the country to help facilitate the program and mentor students in Christian Spiritual Formation and Christian Leadership Training. Our hope is that you’d learn to walk like Jesus and consider how you can be a leader and influencer in the Kingdom of God.

GENERAL GUIDELINES
Estes Park LT participants are expected to be a good testimony for Christ all summer on the job, in our housing, during free time and at program events. Full participation in all LT events is required.

YMCA OF THE ROCKIES - ESTES PARK
The YMCA of the Rockies - Estes Park is located adjacent to the Rocky Mountain National Park on the western edge of Estes Park. The camp is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and has hundreds of miles of trails you can tackle alone or with friends. The views are amazing and the air refreshes mind, body and spirit.

DIVERSE WORK ENVIRONMENT
The YMCA of the Rockies - Estes Park is a coveted summer work experience with a vast variety of people ( the Y brings seasonal staff from all over the world). You’ll gain a broader understanding of people from different backgrounds and worldviews.
EMPLOYMENT
All Estes Park LT participants must be employed by the YMCA of the Rockies - Estes Park. Acceptance into the Estes Park LT program does not guarantee employment at the YMCA of the Rockies - Estes Park. See the Employment section for more details on how to apply for a job at the YMCA.
HOUSING
Because everyone participating in the Estes Park LT program is required to work for the YMCA of the Rockies - Estes Park Center, all participants will be living in housing supplied by the YMCA. These facilities are generally dorm-like units, housing multiple people per room.

People from around the world come to Estes Park, to enjoy world-class hiking, climbing, fishing, sightseeing, wildlife watching, galleries, and unique shopping. With Rocky Mountain National Park out the back door, there’s something in Estes Park for everyone.

UNIQUE OUTREACH OPPORTUNITIES
You'll have lots of time to build strong relationships as you work, eat, and live with many of the same people throughout the summer. The natural setting of the program provides many chances to get away and experience God's creation with other people. The relationships and setting lead to many unique opportunities for talking about spiritual subjects and learning how to share your faith with others.
TRANSPORTATION
Transportation to Estes Park LT is up to the participant. Other LT participants from your campus or a nearby campus try to arrange carpools to get to LT. Participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation. While having access to your own vehicle at Estes Park LT is a plus, it is not necessary. With your housing, jobs, and program activities all happening at the YMCA of the Rockies - Estes Park, it is easy to go the summer without a car.
